Ideally you are based in the Three-Border Region where Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands meet, and you are open-minded like we do.
Humor and having fun are just as important to us as depth and passion for music.
Our songs can exceed the 6-minute limit but we don't let us be put in a box anyway.
We value awareness and sensitivity – not just musically, but in general.
Our goals are:
• To hold weekly rehearsals.
• To enjoy what we do and to spread the "good (...at least most of the time - but sometimes critical or provocative) word".
• Rehearse current material, as well as arrange new songs, and of course: play live!
Creativity, authenticity, humility and a good heart are our basic requirements for making music together.
We’re looking for a true bass player who really knows their craft – because the legacy our bassist leaves behind after 9 years is significant and the existing songs (around 20 in total) should be reproduced as they are – but we’re also open to transformation and creative interpretation, as long as it serves the song – because with us, everyone should feel at home, find their place, and bring their own touch to the band.
Good timing, reliability, and professionalism are prerequisites – and if you not only sing backing vocals but also play upright bass (ideally with a bow!) and/or can handle a mini keyboard, then you're definitely one of our Most Wanted Bass Players! :-D
We have a well-equipped, smoke-free rehearsal room in Hauset (Belgium), and we all use in-ear monitoring, by the way!
Even though music is “just” a hobby for us, we still achieve small but meaningful successes on a semi-professional level. In 2021, one of our radio edits made it onto Belgian national radio, and we’ve already played many regional stages – including the Kimiko, the atmospheric Waldbühne at the German-Belgian border crossing Köpfchen, and the renowned Montagaskonzerte series at the Aachener Domkeller.
Our (current) bassist Martin will be moving from Aachen to Düsseldorf at the end of this year for work-related reasons. Until then, he’d be happy to support you during a smooth transition and pass on his “serious bass knowledge” – if you’d like. :-)
We're excited to meet you!
